On a bright Saturday morning in March, over 200 EMSA members gathered at the UMaT Main Auditorium for our annual Leadership Summit. The theme this year was *Lead with Purpose* — and the speakers delivered on every level. **Opening Keynote: Purpose-Driven Leadership** Our guest speaker, a Senior Manager at a leading Ghanaian bank and UMaT alumna, opened the day with a powerful message: leadership is not a title, it is a decision you make every day. She shared her journey from struggling first-year student to executive — and the EMSA experiences that shaped her. **Workshop: Communicating with Confidence** The afternoon workshops were a highlight. Participants practised elevator pitches, panel discussions, and rapid-fire Q&A sessions. The energy in the room was electric — and several students told us it was the first time they had spoken confidently in front of a large audience. **Panel: What Employers Really Look For** Three industry panellists — from accounting, management consulting, and the public sector — agreed on one thing: communication and initiative matter more than grades alone. "Show us you can solve problems, not just pass exams," one panellist said. **What's Next** The Leadership Summit is one of several annual programmes EMSA runs to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Stay tuned for our Career Fair in June and Economics Symposium in July. If you missed this year's Summit, join EMSA and be first to hear about next year's event.
